I knew Ole Miss was for me because of the beautiful campus and every time I came down here everyone was extremely nice. I always felt welcomed and enjoyed the idea of a small, traditional town.Jenna Jones Senior, Marketing major |
My favorite thing about Ole Miss is that there is always something to do! Whether it’s a theatrical production by fellow classmates, a “think-fast” trivia game day, a late night exam breakfast, barbeque block parties sponsored by the housing department, or step shows, there is never a boring day on campus! We have it all right here at our fingertips, and I just love knowing that I always have a lot to choose from.Crystal Martin Senior, Biological Science major Vicksburg, Mississippi |
Ole Miss is a unique community. I do not know of any other place like it. In my opinion, there are a number of aspects of the university that culminate to create this extraordinary community. I think the university has perfected its ability to mix the right students with the right faculty and staff. I know I personally have both amazing relationships with my peers as well as with my teachers and the administration. I don’t believe this is something that is easily found at other institutions. In addition, the overarching influence of the University of Mississippi Creed, which has become a part of every individual at Ole Miss, only continues to facilitate these excellent relationships and friendships that are formed here. I couldn’t imagine finding any other place that I feel is as special as Ole Miss!Katie Clore Junior, Accounting major Fort Payne, Alabama |
My best experience at Ole Miss would have to be the Grove during football season. “Groving” is unlike anything else during the school year.Christian Sutton Senior, Marketing major Ridgeland, Mississippi |
In my short time at Ole Miss, there are many memories that I will treasure for a lifetime, however, one of the highlights of my college experience would have to be singing the national anthem at the traditional Red and Blue Spring Football game as the 2007-2008 Ole Miss Idol. Words cannot describe the feeling of performing on the fifty yard line in Vaught-Hemingway stadium with the Super Bowl champion Eli Manning on the side line- I even got a picture with him!Neal Ann Parker Freshman, Undecided Cleveland, Mississippi |
