The International Student Organization (ISO) is proud to organize “WorldFest 2012”, a multi-cultural, international festival that puts the spotlight on the growing, diverse international community at Ole Miss. The event is free and open to all students, scholars, faculty, staff, community members and families in Oxford. The aim of the event is to foster greater understanding of the diverse traditions and cultures found around the world to the Oxford community and to University students, and to allow Ole Miss international and American students to showcase specific aspects of their countries or traditions that are of international interest, such as traditional performances, food tastings, clothing exhibitions and cultural information sessions.
The event will take place in the Grove, where participating international and American student bodies or groups of individuals within the Oxford community will be given a booth, stall, or a certain amount of space which they can organize in whichever way they want to best promote and increase the awareness of their specific culture(s), tradition(s) or international philanthropic cause(s), but that which is consistent with the theme of informing the University community of international diversity at Ole Miss.
