The Engineering Service Corps is a new program recognizing students for their volunteer work in the community. Any student in the School of Engineering can join and begin tracking hours for volunteer service.

What are the basic requirements?

Engineering Service Corps members are asked to complete an average of 50 hours of volunteer service per year with a local nonprofit agency or through a service-learning course. (If you earn a ton of hours and are above average, we also ask that you do a minimum of 10 hours each year you are enrolled.) You can submit your hours on this website. That’s it!

Why should I join?

You’ll get a chance to be recognized for your volunteer work, find out about new projects through weekly emails, and earn the following benefits by completing at least 50 hours per year:

  • Engineering Service Corps t-shirts
  • Invitation to an annual end-of-year reception and awards ceremony
  • Chances to win service-related awards
  • “Engineering Service Scholar” title for your résumé when you graduate
  • Honor cord at graduation

How can I join?

Sign up for the Engineering Service Corps here! If you do not already have an OrgSync account, you will need to create one. (It takes just a few minutes!)
